Betraying Trust
Elementary and middle school-aged children are being targeted by adults in education. Several schools throughout the country have been found to be discussing gender choices with students. Young, impressionable children are being led to “explore” sexual choices that they are not equipped to even think about. In Massachusetts, young students were found to be coerced by their teachers to consider transgenderism. Epoch Times has been reporting on these types of abuses for some time now. The case in Ludlow, Massachusetts is a direct violation of trust between the families and the school.
In the article, teachers in the Ludlow school were having conversations with students about gender and sexuality, telling them to keep it a secret from parents. According to school officials, another teacher in the building was reprimanded and fired for revealing these secrets to the school and parents. The fired teacher said that she felt obligated to bring this “...sensitive confidential information about a student’s expressed gender identity against the wishes of the students”. At what point should society allow 11-year children, who are not really able to make life altering decisions like gender reassignment at that age, to keep this type of information secret? How can parents guide and direct their young children if the school is taking that right away from them? Unfortunately, it’s not the school that has kept the parents out of the discussion, it comes from the state level.

Teachers are being told by the state and district educational leaders that they are prohibited from divulging any of these elements to parents. If a student approaches their teacher or counselor about their curiosity of homosexuality or gender curiosity, they are NOT allowed to tell the parents. How is this any different than informing parents about a threat assessment, a suicide or a broken arm? The safety of children should extend to the protection of children from seeking to do harm to their growing bodies and minds.
In California, a mom is suing the school district where her middle school daughter attends. According to the video, a young girl was invited to a secret equality club for students who were questioning their identity. Jessica was then brought in for a meeting at the school and informed that the child would be referred to a boy and her name would be changed. |

In Arizona, there is a bill on the floor that would require teachers to report information that students tell them in confidence if they feel it is “relevant to the physical, emotional or mental health of the parent’s child.” That is what all teachers have been trained to do for years, and yet there are some that believe verbiage about gender and sexuality should not be included. Certain liberal organizations have spoken out against this bill saying that they are concerned that choices about gender and sexuality might incur wrath from parents. These groups favor protecting the rights of children over the rights of parents.
How can I help?
There are many different ways that citizens can get involved in the educational process. Schools are asking for participation in many different ways. The schools along the corridor have made school board meetings readily available for the public to watch and participate in. Together, we can contribute time and attention to our young people. Below is a list of opportunities:
-Attend a board meeting (virtual): Bennett, Strasburg, Byers, Deer Trail
-Run for school board positions
-Write your local superintendent
-Weigh in on the new superintendent search for Strasburg Schools

But Jesus said,
“Let the little children come to me
and do not hinder them, for to such
belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
