INDEPENDENCE DAY.... A TIME TO REMEMBER
This July 4th take opportunity to step back and remember the greatness of our country. This country was founded on the desire for LIBERTY....to own your own business, own your own land, manage your own farm and enjoy the freedom to determine your own future. In order to do this, they had to escape the executive control of the King of England that wanted to rule the colonies for his own benefit. Taxes were imposed without the approval of the colonists and these taxes were extremely high because England needed to recover from the expenses of the French and Indian War. England controlled who the colonies could trade with and required colonists to house the British soldiers needed to protect the colonists from foreign invaders and enforce taxation laws.
Cries of “No taxation without representation” were heard throughout the colonies. There were taxes on sugar, tea and every official document including newspapers and letters. There were dissenters who enjoyed the protection and benefits of England, but eventually the shouts for liberty won over the majority and the battle began against the world’s mightiest country. The Revolutionary War’s victory could be considered a miracle and the construction of this country’s constitutional government a miracle as well. |
None of this could have been accomplished without the ability to compromise and work together. What is compromise? A definition given by the Oxford dictionary says “an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions.” Compromise has been the means for success in our country. Unfortunately, we have reached a point when compromise is not valued and concessions mean defeat. |
Our country is in the thralls of conflict between anarchist (no government control) and fascists, communists, socialists and Nazis (government total control). The rest of the population is somewhere in-between. These groups will not compromise and will not give up pumping out propaganda that only elicits more violence and fear. They are only unfortunate pawns in the hands of the communist/socialist “Reset” (revolutionary) world leaders who will use fear, panic, and depression of the citizens of this great country to reach out for more government control. They want to destroy the Constitution, divide our citizens, promote racism, abolish the family and the role of father and mother, brainwash our children and abolish sexual differences until we are all one androgynous group of zombies, who stumble around thinking they are alive, but are DEAD.
Reminiscent of our country before the Civil War, the Democratic Party, run by Southern slaveholders, refused to come to agreement with the Republican Party over economic policies and practices, cultural values, the extent and reach of the Federal government, and, most importantly, the role of slavery within American society. Their inability to resolve this resulted in the Civil War. We are in a battle today but we don’t “fight against flesh and blood” but “against powers and principalities in high places.” Most of us are not aware that world powers are strategizing to make a one world government and that these same people, the wealthiest in the world, use their money to manipulate economics, science, political agendas and parties, banking, “Big Pharm,” and others to create what they believe to be a perfect world. Of course, this will be done without God, because they believe they are smarter than Him. |
George Orwell (author of 1984) once said, “The most effective way to destroy people, is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history.” We must hold to the truths of this great country. People are tearing down historical monuments and writing new history books to defame our country, but we must continue to honor our country and the founding fathers who made it possible. Were they flawed? Yes, just like us and yet they were able to put aside self-interests to write a constitution that has made us the country where everyone aspires to live. The home of the brave and the home of the free.
We can’t afford to sleep any longer. Those that want to destroy our country and its values are ill informed but determined. We must be more determined. Just like the patriots of old, who stood against the most powerful country in the world and WON, we will prevail! God has not given us a spirit of fear, but has given us a spirit of power and love and self-control. 2 Tim 1:7 KLN |
