It is mid-summer and a perfect time to “deschool”. This is the time to reconnect with your children. Where you can stop doing all of the talking and listen to them, play with them, and truly get to know their current interest. Deschooling allows you to learn more about your students and for them to tinker, explore, use their imagination, create, build, design, invent, and play. In the midst of a busy and often self-seeking world take time to go to the library to explore new adventures in a book. Watch documentaries that will inspire and add to your child’s character. Start a project or take a trip. This is a wonderful opportunity to allow your student to explore and re-engage in the world around them. -AMW
