DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS HAVE LOST THEIR MINDS
Well, do we see it clearly yet? I have to admit that as I began to write this article, I was thinking only that the Democratic Supreme Court Justices were working in the behalf of the Democratic Party to keep Pres. Trump off the ballot and take away our freedom to vote for the candidate of our choice. With more research, I was stunned to find out that the people who brought the case to the Colorado Court were in fact Republicans! I had to sit back in my chair and contemplate this new revelation and consider the real danger in what is going on in our government.
I am sure some of you were already aware of the split in the Republican Party and were not surprised by the actions of these Republicans and Independents, but I guess I am naive enough to think that Republicans as a whole are conservative thinkers, lovers of freedom, personal rights, and limited government control. It is obvious that these Republicans have none of these attributes. They have decided to keep an American citizen, who has never been charged with treason or found guilty of treason in a court of law, off the ballot. |
These Republicans are: Norma Anderson, Michelle Priola, Claudine Cmarada, Krista Kafer, Kathi Wright, and Christopher Castilian. Michelle Priola is wife of Kevin Priola, who won a senate seat from Adams Co. as a Republican and then within months changed to the Democratic Party, probably because he was admonished by many Republican leaders for his unwillingness to support Republican issues. He aspired to gubernatorial position as a Republican and probably will still pursue that as a Democratic. His wife, Michelle, is just as confused. Norma Anderson, who served in the Colorado General Assembly for 19 years, is a professional politician and at 92 years is uncomfortable with the “new” Republican Party. The others are Republicans and Independents of various backgrounds and interests besides sharing the belief that they know better than the citizens of Colorado as to who they want to vote for as President.
I am amazed that these people think they are standing up for democracy while taking away our right to vote. I have to assume they believe they are protecting us from some horrible mistake. That is what the righteous and unrighteous promise. Even plantation owners promised to provide protection and basic needs. Even England’s king promised the colonists protection and profitable trade, and yet, the colonists desired to make their own decisions, protect their own lands, and assign their own laws. Democracy allows us to make our own decisions. |
God established this concept. He didn’t make us robots to be programmed, dogs to be trained, imbeciles unable to learn and requiring direction and protection. God gave us choice, “Chose you this day….” In order to be free, we must be able to choose.
These Republicans are hoping to use the legal system to get their way and their way is anger, frustration, fear and hate for a political rival. This is not the Conservative way. The Republicans hold a slim majority in the House of Representatives. Will this action mend the split in the Republican Party or divide it even more? These are the things that must be considered. Not demanding your way, for your pride, position and power. Pre. Biden and his administration want to control what we drive, what we eat, what we believe to be true. They will force media to report lies and smear their rivals while leaving the backdoor (border) open to anyone and everyone. The early colonists were not represented in the English courts and were often misused, over-taxed and disrespected by English officials. The colonists who led the revolt against England were accused of treason, were threatened with punishment and eventually were forced to fight for their rights. Citizens were imprisoned without a fair trial and many lost their lives. The Civil War holds many similarities. Political parties disagreed. Democrats supported slavery; Republicans did not. The difference between the two sides eventually brought physical attacks. This led to a civil war that was not all about slavery but about the right to choose. The resolve was not by political power but by moral right. |
In the end, the ones who stand for morality, independence, democracy, freedom, will win. The Conservative voice must be heard. God’s morals and values must be upheld. As Colorado Conservative Christians, we must stand against anything that will take away our rights whether by Democrats or Republicans. We have an obligation to stand by Biblical standards and we must make it a priority to be led by the Holy Spirit and not the spirit of man.
The spirit of man (of the flesh) is easy to see. The Bible lists in Galatians 5:19-21 all the works of the flesh. Included in these are hatred, disagreement, arguing, strife, sedition (inciting people to rebel), envy, etc. These people are seeking power to control, regardless of the end results.
“But, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law”.
