The members of the WCE community held their first meeting of the year on Jan 12th. The community welcomed the addition of new board members. Along with the discussion of the budget, the following items were discussed:
- Present members revisited one of the concerns raised at the annual member meeting. The issue of speeding in the small community is likely something that other developments are experiencing. The board is going to reach out to the Adams County Sheriff’s office to inquire about possible speed control techniques or signs that remind drivers of their speed. The board hopes that through communication with neighbors, those who live here will remember to stay at or below the posted speed of 25 mph.
- The Board voted to send out a survey to the members of the WCE community to find out their thoughts on increased communication from board members, implementation of events to help members feel a part of the neighborhood. This will help the board understand what members would like to see happen in the development.
- There are repairs that need to be done on the fence that surrounds the community and board members discussed the need to purchase supplies and complete the fence when the weather permits.
An increase in theft along the corridor
Several community members in the Strasburg area have posted on social media that their delivered packages have been stolen and their mailboxes have been raided. The use of recording equipment has been helpful to share with law enforcement. The rise in crimes like this calls for neighborhoods and communities to band together. Have you or your neighbors considered a Neighborhood Watch? Not only is this a simple way to be diligent about the protection of our property, it also lends itself to building relationships with our neighbors.
Law enforcement should certainly be involved in this conversation before we take major strides in protecting our packages and property. So be sure to reach out to either the Arapahoe or Adams County Sheriff’s departments so that you can discuss and plan safely. You can also join the NextDoor App to communicate with others in your community.

Wanted: Guitar Player
Is there anyone out there looking for a place to play? We are a praise and worship group that consists of vocals, piano, and drums. This small group has been together for several years working to perfect our sound and we are looking for a guitarist who would like to join us. If you love Jesus, love making a joyful sound to the Lord, and looking for a group to join, we would love to have you. Our group strives to be led by the Holy Spirit in writing, playing, and perfecting music that will bring honor to God. We are currently practicing contemporary praise and worship, as well as songs that God has given to us. If you are interested, send us an email [email protected] |
Looking for Guest Music?
The Bible says that praise is a weapon that breaks down strongholds. Our praise and worship team has been seeking God about how to move into music that produces a shout to break down the walls in our lives, and bring encouragement and healing for His people. We want to create a sound that will usher in God's presence during corporate worship. Is your church looking for something new for a special event? Are you looking for guest worship to be hosted at your church? Are you a pastor looking for an extension of worship for your congregation? We are seeking for opportunities in the community to join with you in worship! We would love to offer our services as a traveling worship team as guests in your church. It is our desire to meet you where you are.

In the same way, let your light shine before people,
so they can see the good things you do
and praise your Father who is in heaven.
